the end of a journey....

Today is the day my life begins
Today, I become a citizen of the world,
Today, I become a grown up,
Today, I become accountable to someone other than myself and my parents,
accountable for more than my grades,
Today, I become accountable to the world, to the future,
to all the possibilities that life has to offer,
Starting today, my job is to show up, wide-eyed and willing and ready,
For what? I don't know.
For anything. For everything.
To take on life. To take on love.
To take on the responsibility and possibility.
Today my friends, our lives begin.
And I for one, can't wait.

My a-year-wiser ABAH...

He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call ABAH.

I'm just sitting here thinking about what you mean to me,
Remembering all the things you've done for me,
You've been there for me from the start,
Knowing what to say to keep me from falling apart,
Taking everything that comes your way good or bad,
I can't count high enough for every time you've went out of your way,
Knowing you're there keeps me going everyday,
When I need encouragement, you're the first to give it,
When I have a problem, you always have the best advise to fix it,
I could sit here and say Thank-you from now till I die but it wouldn't be enough,
I can only wish if I went through what you did I could be so tough,
I'll always love you unconditionally,
From now till an eternity.

I thank Allah every day because you are always near.
When I need you the most,
We may be thousands of miles apart, but you are always in my Heart.
I found so much Love in you, more than I could ever imagine.
When I was sad you believed in me, I had your Love from the start.
You always showed me the way to go, You were always there for me when I needed you the most.
I would not be able to go on to another day without you.
I know I don't call all the time, and I'm sorry.
You brought so much Joy into my life, You helped me and never let me fall.
I think every day if I will ever see you again.
I know I should not think that, but I guess it is just a daughter thing. 

Abah I don't think you know how much I Love You.
I remember all the fun we had.
I cry every time I think about you.
If I would lose you I don't know what I would do?
You gave me life and you let me live it.
Every breath that I take I remember that you gave me that right to take that breath.
When I was sick you were always right there.
I will always be your little girl, but I need to grow up and move on, but I will never move on from you.
I could go on for days but all you really need to know is that I Love You with all my heart.
And I will always be your little girl no matter how far or close to you I am.

Why I love my mom?

I love her because she carried me in her tummy for 9 months
I love her because she brought me into this world
I love her because she feeds me with the most delicious dishes one could ever imagine
I love her because she makes something warm for me to drink
I love her because she buys me the most beautiful dresses and clothes a daughter could ask for
I love her because she studied my subjects so that she could teach me later
I love her because she sent me to my tuition classes without fail
I love her because she attended my school award ceremonies
I love her because she washed my clothes and iron them very neatly
I love her because she used to do my hair into different styles each day
I love her because she help me combat my "kutu"s 7 hari 7 malam
I love her because she would go all out helping me with my certs and forms for boarding school & sponsors
I love her because she wakes me up for Subuh
I love her because she buys me any food or snacks I needed for boarding school
I love her because she buys me all the books I need for my education
I love her because she passes down her jeweleries, tudungs, brooches, baju etc
I love her because she is the nicest dentist I know
I love her because she reads Surah Yassin for me before my exams
I love her because she reads Surah Nuh for me after my exams
I love her because she prays for me every day and night without fail
I love her because she does "puasa nazar" especially when I get super scared in certain exams
I love her because she is my exercise buddy
I love her because she knows how to make a good bargain
I love her because she is the name I need to call if I lose anything
I love her because she lets me hug and kiss her whenever I like
I love her because she loves to hump to the songs she likes
I love her because she gives me great advices throughout my whole life
I love her because she brings me up whenever I'm down
I love her because she is always there when I need her
I love her because she believes in me
I love her because she understands every part of me just by my body language
I love her because she shares her happiness and sadness with me
I love her because she is strong at heart no matter what comes in life
I love her because she is beautiful
I love her because she is kind
I love her because she is strict when she needs to
I love her because she is honest
I love her because she is the most "waras"

But mainly,
I love her because she is my mom
My one and only mom
My irreplaceable mom

[2:44] Mengapa kamu menyuruh orang lain mengerjakan kebaikan sedangkan kamu melupakan dirimu sendiri, padahal kamu membaca kitab? Tidakkah kamu mengerti?

Such a deep ayat that should be reflected by all especially me. It is so easy for us to put a label and judge people as well as giving advices to others according to what we think is right. But have we ever taken our own advices and implement them? As many people say, telinga sang penyampai lebih dekat daripada telinga sang pendengar. So, the advices we give others should reach our ears first. We have to apply them first.
Easier said than done. So kita la yang need to prove to other people that kita cakap serupa bikin. Actions speak louder than words. Lebih mudah berdakwah kepada org melalui qudwah hasanah daripada hanya melalui lisan yg enak didengar.

So ape lagi?
